CRAFT is a new collection of creative kits from Random Lemon, designed around a simple idea: making something can be valuable even when the finished result isn’t the point.

Each kit will give you everything you need to sit down, focus on an enjoyable activity and create something for yourself — with clear instructions and no expectation that you already know what you’re doing.

No pressure to be “good at crafts”. No complicated rules. Just time to make.

More than a craft kit

CRAFT is psychology-informed by design.

My background in psychology, alongside my own experience of turning to creativity during difficult times, has shaped the idea behind CRAFT.

Creative activities can give us something absorbing and purposeful to focus on. CRAFT is being developed with that in mind — creating activities that are accessible, engaging and satisfying to work through.

The aim isn’t to turn crafting into therapy or promise that making something will change how you feel. It’s simply to recognise that sometimes giving ourselves permission to stop, concentrate on one thing and create can be valuable in its own right.

Why I’m creating CRAFT

I discovered the value of making things during one of the hardest periods of my life.

After losing my mum, creativity became one of the ways I found space to manage my grief. Having something practical to focus on helped, and seeing the things I made bring a smile to other people gave the process another kind of purpose.

That experience eventually grew into Random Lemon.

CRAFT feels like the next step — bringing together my personal experience, my background in psychology, and everything I’ve learned from several years of making and selling creative products.

The idea is simple: to create thoughtful, accessible kits that make it easier to pause, focus on something enjoyable and make something with your own hands.
